As part of this project, we carried out a comprehensive retrofit of a Göckel industrial knife sharpening machine, using cutting-edge technologies to bring its performance and reliability up to the current industry standards.
Technological Innovations Implemented:
- State-of-the-Art Siemens Technology
- We utilized Siemens S210 servo motors and controllers, which ensure an impressive precision of 1 micrometer, essential for operations requiring high-quality finishing.
- Communication and synchronization of all components were achieved through the Profinet platform, ensuring high-speed data transfer and superior reliability.
- Wagner Magnetic Controller
- The magnetic clamping system was upgraded with a Wagner controller, offering enhanced holding power and increased safety during the sharpening process.
- HMI Unified Comfort
- The user interface was completely redesigned using the latest HMI Unified Comfort solutions. This provides an intuitive experience, advanced graphics, and simplified operation, reducing setup times and enhancing operator efficiency.
